Fire
Drills/Emergency Preparedness
Our staff must be constantly trained and prepared to act quickly
and safely in the event of a fire or disaster, therefore it
is necessary for us to frequently conduct drills.
If a practice drill occurs while you are a patient, please
do NOT become alarmed. We need your cooperation during such
drills.
Specialty Services
Although we are a small community hospital, we have brought
many specialty services to your bedside, as an inpatient,
or available to you on an outpatient basis when you are discharged.
Some of the available services are offered to assist your
doctor in carrying out your care plan or in establishing a
diagnosis. Other clinics are designed for your convenience
as a consumer, e.g. physical therapy, social services, hospice,
Home Health, outpatient clinics, etc.
We are pleased to be able to offer you these services at
a low cost and close to home. Your support of these services
is appreciated as are any comments you may wish to make regarding
them.
Discharge
When your doctor has determined that you can go home, he will
advise the hospital staff.
A nurse will review your discharge plans with you including:
your medications, discharge instructions, any special services
(home health, physical therapy, etc.) you may require. She
will also give you an appointment card for a follow-up appointment
with your physician.
When you pack your personal belongings, remember to reclaim
any valuables from our safe and check at the nursing station
for medication you may need to take home with you.
REMEMBER...please call the hospital unit if you should have
any questions concerning your care once you have arrived home.
